We deliver expert wellness and emergency care services designed to keep your pet as healthy as possible. Whether it’s an annual checkup, vaccinations or regular treatments, we offer everything your pet needs.

Diagnostic Services

At Heartland Veterinary Health Center, we are proud to be on the cutting edge of medical technology. We utilize our in house laboratory to accurately diagnose and treat your pet. We offer radiology, ultrasound, blood work, fecal sample analysis and many additional diagnostic methods.

Pet Wellness Exams/Annual Vaccines

As caring owners, you want the very best for your pet. That’s why we encourage you to schedule regular pet wellness exams. By seeking to prevent problems before they arise, you’re ensuring your pet extended health and happiness.

We believe that one of the most important aspects of caring for your pet's health is vaccinating him or her against potential diseases. A few vaccinations a year will provide immunity against a wide variety of diseases that can be harmful and even deadly.

As a "thank you" for providing top-notch care for your pet we offer a loyalty program! Each $100 spent, or 12 months worth of either heartworm or flea and tick prevention purchased is good for one punch. Once you have reached 8 punches, you are eligible for $50 off of a dental cleaning, and a full card (16 punches) will earn you $100 towards your next visit!

Surgical Care

We are proud to offer our surgical services to your pets! From spaying and neutering, to orthopedic surgeries our staff and doctors are able to use their vast amount of knowledge and experience to best serve your pet.

We are proud to provide Holton, KS and the surrounding communities with boarding services. We practice the highest standards of care and cleanliness for patients staying with us. We know that it takes a great deal of trust to leave your pet with someone else, so we want to assure you that we are professional, highly trained, and most of all love your pets like our own.

Please note: At this time, we only provide boarding for dogs with medical conditions that require daily treatment. Full feline boarding is provided.

Pet Dental Care

Dental care is vital to the overall health of your pet. Dental disease does not only affect the teeth, but can also cause underlying issues within the heart, liver, and kidneys.  In fact, 80 percent of dogs and 70 percent of cats over three years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population.

The most effective way to protect your pet from dental disease is through professional cleanings. We perform thorough cleanings here at Heartland Veterinary Health Center, including the area beneath the gums that you can't see or access at home.

If your pet has brown/yellow teeth, bad breath, or is having difficulty eating, these could all be signs of dental disease. Please call us at (785) 364-4495 today to learn more and schedule your pet's dental cleaning.

Well groomed pets look and feel better! They also have fewer health issues, especially involving the skin and ears.

Our highly trained and professional groomer, Kim is great at what she does! She works with a variety of breeds and is knowledgeable in traditional cuts, but also loves special requests.
